Networking tool for grass-root groups in Scotland to connect to each other.

The NYRs IndyApp is a networking tool that allows all autonomous grass-root groups around Scotland to work together and share resources, experience and campaigning ideas. It facilitates mentoring and mutual support among pro-Indy enthusiasts, encourages new groups to form and dormant groups to reform. It has been designed to encourage activist participation through increased membership of each of the local groups that make up the backbone of the grass-root Scottish Independence movement.- Enter your postcode and search for your nearest local pro Indy grass-root groups. Town, Group Name, Web and google map search facilities are also available. - View each group’s profile, meetings, campaigns & events on their public ‘front door’, Browse all participating group locations on an interactive map of Scotland and go direct to any ‘front door’.- Make easy contact directly with the groups of your choice for more information or to join and be warmly welcomed into the grass-root Yes movement.-Once a user joins a group or groups they have access to IndyApp private messaging. This allows communication between group members individually or individuals to the entire group.-IndyApp requires minimal user information to register. Name, Email and first half of post code.-The IndyApp has been designed to give each user complete control over their private information on the platform, up to and including the ability to delete themselves and their stored private information completely from the app at any time. This is the expanded version of the IndyApp. It includes local & national Forums, local & national Action Rooms and local & national Resource management for all group members. All users have access to an IndyMap where each group & each group Hub are located, showing the full scale of the local group network as it grows. Our new national Event Diary allows all users to search for events by date and by map. The App Forum is where IndyApp user issues can be raised, discussed and hopefully resolved.

Just downloaded it. I've tried numerous fully functioning email addresses and it either tells me it's an invalid email format or an invalid address. At the moment I have no idea how good the app is because it won't allow me to register.

Received request for info from Kev Murray tonight via newly released version. Replied to him explaining how he could resolve his difficulty. Awaiting reply.

Have tried numerous times to install. Let's me go all the way to accepting terms and conditions then displays error message that Indy app has stopped working. I have reported it at least 4 times but with no response or help.

Great idea with huge potential. This is the communication network the grassroots indy movement has been waiting for. Can't wait for the full version to roll out. It can be a little confusing at first, but if you bear in mind it's a tool designed to allow you to be active in real life in local groups, and not a pro-indy chat forum, that makes the concept a bit clearer.
